What's the competition like?
Having done extensive research into the marketplace it is clear that the competition is extremely limided.
What type of person is perfect for this business?
We are very selective about the people we take on board. Why? Because our success is directly related to your success. Therefore
we can't afford to accept just anyone.

Highly disciplined

Can I really earn my franchise fee back in the first year?
Yes you can. It may sound hard to believe and you've probably heard it before, but thanks to our proven methods and variety
of income streams, you can easily recoup your fee in 1 year. But don't for one minute think that it's a "walk in the park".
You still have to earn your money! You do have to put the effort in, but because the demand for our service is so high you
can really earn serious money.
What support structure do you have in place?
We believe that the support structure of any Franchise organisation is one of hte most important aspects of running a successful
Franchise.
You have to know that you'll never be left alone 'to get on with it'. Of course, our training is so detailed you won't need
constant supervision, but you will need help from time to time.
That's why we have a structure in place that ensures your success...
Franchisees are supported by The Entertainment Guide's head office, including graphic designers, journalists, web designers,
printers, publishers, distributors and the 3 company Directors at all times. We guarantee you'll never feel alone. You'll
never have to worry about anything. You'll be comforted in the knowledge that we place huge value on supporting you and

Does the franchisee have to pay a deposit or upfront payment, and if they do not proceed will they lose their deposit or
any part of it?
Due to the demand for areas we will ask for a deposit of £6,000 as soon as we are happy that you meet the criteria. This
will ensure that you get the area you want. If you decide not to proceed we will be happy to refund the deposit.
How much working capital do you think I need, and what help can you as a franchisor give a franchisee in estimating the
financial projections?
Working capital is something which we cannot realistically advise. It is personal and different in each individual circumstance;
however we would suggest you budget for approximately 3 - 6 months in order to be safe. Our Franchise Director will provide
a detailed financial projection, which will be realistic and achievable based on the start-up history of each of our previous
territories and on the understanding that our methods and systems are adhered to.
How long will it take to start trading from the time the franchisee signs the contract?
Following successful completion of the next available training course, you will follow our day-to-day schedule of how to
be successful. You can start to make money in your first week! Everything will be explained throughout the training and,
if you need any help in the first few days, it will be available for you.
Don't forget that help will always be available ... we have a full support team in place to offer advice and assistance
whenever you need it. And you can call any of the 3 Directors whenever you wish!
What will the training consist of, how long will it last and are all training costs included in my franchise fee?
The Franchise Training Course is an intensive 5-day residential course which covers all aspects of your new business and
is completely covered by your franchise fee.

Do you charge ongoing franchise fees and if so what are they and how are they calculated?
We are unique in the Franchising Industry in that we do not wish to burden you with on-going management fees in your first
year of business. We have incorporated this into your initial franchise fee, therefore whatever turnover you make in year
1 is entirely yours! From year 2 onwards we will charge a simple management service fee of 10% of turnover per month.
Does the franchisee have to contribute to any other costs such as advertising and promotional expenditure that you incur,
if so how much?
Absolutely not - all central marketing and promotion which comes from head office is funded by your monthly MSF. If, however,
you'd like to do some local marketing solely in your area then this will be at your own cost and must be approved by head
office prior to publication.
What help, if any, will the franchisee receive if they want to do some advertising and promotion on their own?
The franchisee will have access to a variety of campaigns which have been used over many years and have proven to be very
successful. We are obviously aware that each area is different and the franchisee would receive free advice whenever required
in order to tailor a campaign for their area.
After the franchisee has opened their franchise, what ongoing support will the franchisee be provided with?
The franchisee will have their own dedicated backup team, consisting of designer, journalist, web-technician and operations
manager. Additional training courses are also available on request for any aspect of the business.
Does the franchisor provide instructional and operational manuals and can the franchisee see them prior to signing?
Manuals are provided covering every aspect of the business and training. Potential franchisees area welcome to have a brief
look at these, however, due to the sensitive nature of the information within, they will only be issued upon signing of
the contract, payment of the fee in full and successful completion of the training course.
How many franchisees will you have in 5 years?
We anticipate having between 80 - 100 franchisees within 5 years. We intend to grow at a steady rate which is manageable
as the success of each franchise is paramount, not the number we have sold.
How thoroughly does the franchisor vet the prospective franchisees to maintain a high standard in the franchise network?
We have strict guidelines as to the profile of our franchisees. It is much more important to us to spend time vetting the
serious prospects, than to accept money from anyone who wants to join our network.
Our dedicated Franchise Director has a great deal of experience in this field and will be extremely thorough in the process
of choosing the successful candidates.
Our success is directly related to your success and we want to make it as easy as possible to achieve your goals in business
and life!
Will the territory offered be for my sole and exclusive use?
Absolutely. You will be allocated an exclusive territory after discussions with the 3 Directors and 100% of the business
which comes from this area will be yours (except in the case of Corporate Accounts, which must be handled slightly differently
- this will be clarified at interview).
Is the franchisor currently operating in areas with similar demographics as my proposed territory?
Yes - we currently have 6 established areas in Scotland, all with varying demographics and all proving very profitable.
Does your company see any threats in the current marketplace?
In our industry competition is a very positive thing. If there is competition in an aarea it means that the market already
exists for our concept - all we have to do is maximise it with our superior products. We offer the best quality, dynamic
products with excellent, targeted distribution.
